Development of controlled delivery systems by nanoliposomes of Hypericum perforatum L. extracts

Hypericum perforatum L. is a popular and widespread medicinal plant used in wide range of therapy, including gastrointestinal diseases, heart skin-related diseases. The rapid development nanotechnology its applications pharmacology have enabled the controlled release drugs bioactive components. This study aimed to investigate liposomal formulation for enriched with methanol ethanol extract H. perforatum, which has antioxidant, antimicrobial, proliferative effects. In this context, firstly, biological activity (antimicrobial, cell viability) (Hp-MeOH) (Hp-EtOH) extracts obtained by ultrasonic extraction method was revealed. Hp-MeOH Hp-EtOH larger zone inhibition against Enterococcus faecalis ATTC 51289 Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 11778, respectively than positive control amikacin (30mg/ml). were found high total antioxidant status low oxidant oxidative stress index value. scavenging capacity DPPH radicals between 23-89% 27-90%, studied concentration range. addition, effect on viability dermal fibroblast cells evaluated 24, 48, 72 hours induction proliferation fibroblasts observed.
